JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Proficient with high pressure, design, and steam piping requirements and design. Plan pipe system layout, installation, or repair, according to specifications and avoid interfering with activities of other workers.
• Cut and connect, thread, or hammer pipes to specifications, using tools such as saws, cutting torches, pipe threaders, or pipe benders. Remove and replace worn components.
• Assemble or secure pipes, tubes, fittings, or related equipment, according to specifications, by welding, brazing, cementing, soldering, or threading joints and installs insulation.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma (may be foreign equivalent)
• 2 years of experience as a pipefitter in a shipyard environment.
• Ship Repair Insulators with Insulation Experience.
